Michele Hickford
Director of Client Strategy
As ion’s director of client strategy, Michele works closely with ion’s clients on their post-click marketing strategies and creative development from the firm’s Florida office. She has over 25 years of experience in advertising and marketing, both in the US and internationally.
Michele began her career in classic packaged-goods marketing at The Clorox Company. She held account management positions at Young & Rubicam and Foote, Cone & Belding, and was an award-winning copywriter at Foote, Cone & Belding and at Burton Wisgard Doxat in the UK. She has held senior marketing positions at Turner Broadcasting and USA Networks, where she launched the Sci-Fi Channel in Europe. She took Autoweb.com public as Vice President, Marketing and later co-founded SportBrain, a high-tech consumer products company.
A passionate advocate of post-click marketing and enthusiastic user of LiveBall, Michele has written numerous features and articles, and is the author of “Do I Need To Slap You?” She has appeared on Fox News, QVC and CNN. Michele has a BA in telecommunications and film, and minor in advertising from San Diego State University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
